The biggest project this month is still my work on Terry Pratchett’s new book, ‘The Folklore of Discworld’. This month I aim to complete painting the cover: Take a squint at the finished underpainting below.

Seasons Greetings!

We wish you all a wonderful month of festivities and goodwill. We hope you enjoy this month's Paul Kidby update as much as we are enjoying the run up to Christmas.

I am now cracking on with the colouring up. I am also making good headway on the Folklore of Discworld chapter headings; here is someone who’ll hopefully make it into the final line up…

When I'm not drawing at the moment, I am sculpting! I am creating a three dimensional version of Nemesis the Griffin. As you can see, he’s still in the early stages and doesn’t have his wings on yet, so come back soon to see how I’m getting on. Once he’s finished he will be cast in bronze in a special edition of only twelve.

If you're headed to London for some Christmas shopping, why not take in a show while you're at it? The original cover artwork for Making Money is on display at the Air Gallery, 32 Dover Street, London from the 3-8 December, courtesy of Books Illustrated.  Also on show will be the original designs from my greetings cards ‘Late Knight’ and ‘Lullaby’.

This will also be an opportunity to view the artwork of Christian Birmingham who has illustrated a fantastic new version of ‘The Snow Queen’.

I’d like to send special thanks and seasons greetings to all our friends who have given us help and support throughout the year, especially Mike and Hilary, Howard and Liz, Becky and Matt, Merv (yes you with the tattoos!), Leslie, Shayla, Lin, John and Suzy, and Olivier Souillé. Cheers guys!
