We can’t believe another one has flown by…
It hasn’t been all mince pies and booze at the Kidby household over the Christmas/Hogswatch holidays, I’ve been busy designing and painting the 2008 Discworld Diary cover - yes already! So for a sneak peak at next year's Discworld Diary in the making head on over to the Studio page (see if you can spot this year's theme). I am about to begin on the internal pencil illustrations - keep watching this space for more diary news and the finished cover.
I have also completed the fourth image in the Mythical Beasts series - Balthasar, the winged lion. I have to say I am mighty pleased with him, and I hope you agree. Check him out later this month in the Shop. There are some additional pics of him in the developmental stages on the Studio page for anyone who might be interested.

For the first few days of this month original Paul Kidby's can still be viewed at The Chris Beetles Gallery (until 6th January) as part of an impressive line up in the annual show, The Illustrators - The British Art of Illustration 1800-2006. The biggest event worldwide for cartoon and illustration collectors.
