Thanks for coming back for more Paul Kidby exclusives from our monthly update, and a big WELCOME if this is your first visit.
This month I have been busy fostering international relations - well maybe not, but I did deliver a selection of fourteen pencil illustrations to the Czech publisher Talpress, who are producing a commemorative edition of The Colour of Magic and Light Fantastic.
My contribution to the Czech special editions includes both previously unpublished drawings, and illustrations that were printed unfinished in the Art of Discworld. They are now all completed, polished up and ready for press.
Sometimes its great fun to revisit the classics - take for example Rincewind and Twoflower Making New Friends in Ankh Morpork...

I have also accepted a commission to produce a book jacket and chapter headings for Terry Pratchett’s forthcoming Folklore of Discworld, which will be out next year.
Here is the completed image of Mr Fusspot from the 2008 Discworld calendar (coming soon to a bookstore near you). I would like to thank the Cunning Artificer, Bearnard Pearson for his help in supplying a model for the Ank Morpork Dollar Bill, and our dog Flo for supplying her paw print.
