This past month I have been mostly working on the cover art for Terry Pratchett's new Discworld novel ‘Snuff'. Both front and back covers are now completed and with the publishers ready for the book launch later this year.

I have also been sculpting a March hare, Celeste. Hares are one of my favourite animals, rich in folk-lore and powerful yet fragile in form. It seems fitting serendipity to have made this piece at the start of the year of the metal hare in the Chinese calendar.

She is now at the foundry being cast in bronze, edition no. 1/12.

I am currently sculpting the winged horse Pegasus…

Books Illustrated, now trading as The Art of the Imagination have a busy schedule in the coming weeks, they will be exhibiting my original paintings, drawings and sculptures at the following March dates:

4th - 6th Powderham Castle, Antiques and Fine Art Fair, near Exeter

11th - 13th Linden Hall, Antiques and Fine Art Fair, Morpeth near Newcastle

17th - 20th Antiques for Everyone, Birmingham NEC

25th - 27th Goodwood House, Antiques and Fine Art Fair, West Sussex

Please email Mike and Hilary for free tickets to any of these events.

Here's hoping for a month of spring sunshine…
