For the past few weeks I have been busy finishing off a number of commissions; The cover artwork for the new Discworld novel, ‘I Shall Wear Midnight', and four images for World of Warcraft trading card expansion pack, ‘Worldbreaker' are now done and dusted and in the bag. They are all also currently under a publishers embargo, so I can't show you them yet … please keep watching this space…
Meanwhile, here is Sardines recently completed for the back cover of the re-issue of Amazing Maurice, (and who isn't adverse to a bit of publicity).
In the meantime our minds are turned to elephants…
This month heralds with some loud and happy trumpeting the launch of London 's Elephant Parade. Eko the Elephant, painted by yours truly on behalf of The Orangutan Foundation will be sited in Green Park . This event lasts for the duration of May and June and will raise the profile of the plight of the critically endangered Asian Elephant.
258 elephants in total will be sited throughout London , a spectacle well worth seeing.
I am also delighted that my own elephant design has been selected to be replicated as a hand-painted ceramic miniature which will be available for sale in Selfridges.
You too can help save the Asian Elephant from extinction by signing the online petition which will enable the Elephant Family to lobby governments to sit up and recognize the urgency of this dire conservation situation.
