Paul Kidby News Update – September/October 2011
After a busy summer where I enjoyed meeting lots of great people at ‘Art in Action', visiting my friendly art dealers at the Daniel Maghen Gallery in Paris and taking some time away with my family, I am now settling back into my studio for some uninterrupted time at my easel. I have plenty to do, including pencil artwork for the upcoming Talpress double edition of ‘Men at Arms' & ‘Soul Music'.
Obsidian the Panther came out of the foundry looking resplendent on his marble base, and I doff my hat to the people at Sculpture Castings for making such a grand job of him.
I was lucky enough to see the molten bronze being poured in to the moulds recently and it was a magical moment of pure alchemy.

The 2012 Discworld calendar is now widely available, and I do have some signed copies in a box here left over from Art in Action. The cost is £14.50 inc P&P, so if you would like one from me please press the button.
Over the autumn, the ever-intrepid ‘Art of the Imagination' will be exhibiting a selection of my original artwork and bronzes, including Obsidian and the latest Discworld cover ‘Snuff'.

- 7th - 9th October - Esher Hall Luxury Antiques Weekend, Sandown Park Racecourse, Esher, Surrey, KT10 9AJ
- 27th - 30th October - Antiques for Everyone, Birmingham National Exhibition Centre
